The Nationals trailed 9-0 in the fourth inning before waking up and ending their five-game losing streak with a massive comeback, winning 14-12. Washington pulled within 9-5 in the fifth inning, while it put up five runs in the sixth and Trea Turner gave the Nats their first lead at 10-9 with a grand slam. Turner ended the night 3-for-5 with two home runs, three runs scored and eight RBIs. The eight runs driven in tie an MLB record for the most in a game by a leadoff hitter. Juan Soto finished 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and three RBIS. Matt Adams was 4-for-5 with a double and three runs scored in his first game off the DL. Michael Taylor went 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs. Shawn Kelley earned the win in relief as he threw a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and striking out two. Sean Doolittle picked up his 22nd save as he allowed no runs on two hits with two strikeouts.
Marlins hit three homers in loss
Nothing was wrong with the Miami offense Thursday night as it pounded out 14 hits to lead to 12 runs in the defeat. Derek Dietrich went 2-for-5 with a walk and three runs. Brian Anderson finished 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs. J.T. Realmuto was 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Adam Conley took the loss as he allowed five earned runs on two hits with one strikeout and four walks in two-thirds of an inning.

MLB Betting Trends
Miami
The over is 7-1 in the last eight Marlins road games. Miami is 4-9 in Straily’s last 13 road starts.
Washington
The Nationals are 20-7 in the last 27 meetings. The under is 11-5 in Gonzalez’ last 16 starts overall.
Prediction:
Neither pitcher has been sharp lately, although Straily showed signs of turning a corner in his last start against the Mets. The thing about Gonzalez is that any time you count him out, he rebounds with a fantastic start. I certainly don’t expect another huge offensive outing out of Miami here, so Gonzalez is a good candidate for a fantastic start. It is crazy to say this after such a huge offensive game, but I’m rolling with the under here as baseball has a way of evening out statistics.
