Twins vs. Brewers Prediction
After having their winning streak snapped on Tuesday, the Twins will seek a measure of revenge tonight when they visit the Brewers at 8:10PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Brewers are -125 money line favorites versus the Twins, who have odds of +115 to pull off the small upset in Milwaukee. With Tommy Milone set to face Jimmy Nelson in the pitching matchup, the total sits at 8.5 runs.
Bet Tonight’s Twins vs. Brewers Game
Milone has not pitched well to start the season. He’s 0-1 with a 5.06 ERA and has allowed a whopping eight runs (six earned) on 12 hits. What’s even more staggering is that his BABIP is .250, which indicates he’s received some good fortunate when the ball has been put into play. Yet his FIP stands at 7.38 and he’s striking out just 5.06 through nine. At least through two starts, this has not been a competitive pitcher.
Nelson has received even more luck with balls in play, as his BABIP stands at an unsustainable .157. His ERA is only 2.79, but his FIP is 5.81, an indication that his ERA is about to skyrocket (especially with a walk rate of 4.19). Despite being 2-1, Nelson’s numbers are somewhat inflated and are due for a correction.
