The early thought would be the NL has some great pitching, but the team will be without Madison Bumgarner, Clayton Kershaw, Stephen Strasburg and Noah Syndergaard because of injuries or recent starts. However, the team still has powerful hitters like Buster Posey, Kris Bryant and Bryce Harper. The American League has four Red Sox starters this year, including the retiring David Ortiz, who is playing in his final game. The AL also features Mike Trout and Manny Machado. While their starting pitching isn’t quite as good, the AL has a number of solid relief arms.
