Saturday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – It was not the greatest of season openers for the Boston Red Sox as their bullpen faltered late against the Texas Rangers, but they will get another shot Saturday against the defending AL champions as the series continues.
Boston was upended 9-5 by Texas Friday as it gave up four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to break open what was a deadlocked game following a David Ortiz solo home run in the top of the frame. Carl Crawford went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in his Red Sox debut, while Adrian Gonzalez had a much better Boston debut by going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
Oddsmakers and online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Red Sox a -115 favorite. The over-under has been set at 9.5. Play begins at 8:00PM EST
