Tuesday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Several marquee names will take the hill on Tuesday. Check out the opening odds for today’s MLB action.
One of those “marquee names” that will take the mound on Tuesday is Roy Oswalt of the Phillies, who are –175 money line favorites against the visiting Dodgers (+165) at 7:05PM ET. Oswalt is 3-3 on the year with a 2.70 ERA over 50 innings of work.
Ubaldo Jimenez, who has surprisingly struggled this year, will also take the hill on Tuesday. Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog, the Rockies are –140 money line favorites over the host Padres, who are +130. A year after competing for the NL Cy Young Award, Jimenez is 1-5 this year with a 4.98 ERA.
Switching leagues, Jon Lester and the Red Sox will take on their rivals, the Yankees at 7:05PM ET. According to latest MLB trends, the Red Sox are 4-0 in their last four games against the Yankees and 4-0 in Lester’s last four outings against the Evil Empire.
Also in the American League, Felix Hernandez will take on the Chicago White Sox at 8:10PM ET. The Mariners are –120 on the money line against the host Sox, who are +110 on the ML. Despite King Felix taking the mound, 58% of MLB public bettors currently favor the White Sox +110.
