Saturday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The Brewers look to halt their current losing skid while the Phillies and Tigers try to stay hot. Check out Saturday’s MLB odds.
The Phillies will send Cliff Lee to the hill tonight against the Brewers, who are +135 money line underdogs after losing four in a row. Philadelphia, which is –145 on the ML, has won five straight and has opened an 11-game lead in the NL East.
The soon-to-be NL West champion Diamondbacks are –155 money line favorites versus the San Diego Padres tonight at 8:10PM ET. According to latest MLB trends, the Padres are 0-5 in their last five meetings with Arizona and 34-79 in their last 113 road games versus the Diamondbacks.
In the AL, the Tigers have won seven in a row after coming from behind to beat the Twins on Friday. Detroit will take on Minnesota again this afternoon at 4:10PM ET, as oddsmakers have installed the Tigers as –190 money line favorites. The over/under total opened at 8.5 runs.
Staying in the American League, the Angels are +122 money line favorites versus the visiting Yankees, who are –130 on the money line. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Los Angeles, while the Yankees are 10-23 in their last 33 games versus the Angels.
