Sunday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The Tigers will try for the sweep against the White Sox on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball tonight at 8:05PM ET.
Detroit has taken the first two games of its series with Chicago, which is now 7.5 games behind the Tigers in the AL Central. Oddsmakers currently list the Tigers as –135 money line favorites versus the White Sox on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, while Chicago is +127 on the ML. It’ll be Mark Buehrle taking on Max Scherzer in tonight’s pitching match.
It was one step forward for the Giants on Friday night but one immediate step back on Saturday as they lost to the first-place Diamondbacks, 7-2. San Francisco is now once again six games back of Arizona in the NL West, although the Giants can still win the series with a win this afternoon. Oddsmakers have made the defending champs –117 money line favorites versus the D-Backs, who are +110 on the ML.
Switching back to the AL, the Red Sox are –125 money line favorites after crushing the Rangers (+118) on Saturday. The Rangers are now 16-39 in their last 55 road games against Boston and 1-4 in their last five meetings with the Red Sox according to latest MLB trends.
