The featured game of the day has the Houston Astros (80-74) hosting the Texas Rangers (84-69) at 1:05PM ET. The Astros have Collin McHugh (17-7, 3.93 ERA) on the mound to face Derek Holland (3-3, 4.75) of the Rangers. The Rangers have a 4.5-game lead on Houston in the AL West. According to oddsmakers at GTBets, the Astros are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -135 to win, while the Rangers are getting a money line of +125 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8 runs. Texas has won eight straight over Houston this year and the Astros are just 3-8 in their last 11 games.

The Chicago Cubs (89-64) host the Pittsburgh Pirates (94-60) today at 1:05PM ET. The Cubs have Jon Hammel (9-6, 3.79) on the mound to face Francisco Liriano (11-7, 3.41) of the Pirates. These two have secured at least the Wild Card spots in the NL, with the Pirates leading the Cubs by 4.5 games for the home-field edge in that 1 game. Oddsmakers have this game as even, as each team is getting odds of -105 to win today. The over/under total for the contest has yet to be set. The road team has won four straight in this series, including the Pirates 3-2 win last night. The Pirates are also 17-4 in their last 21 starts for Liriano.

The last game of note has the Los Angeles Angels (79-74) hosting the Seattle Mariners (74-80) at 9:05PM ET. The Angels have Andrew Heaney (6-3, 3.30) on the mound to face Felix Hernandez (18-9, 3.54) of the Mariners. The Angels are ½ a game out of the second Wild Card spot while Seattle is 6 games back. Oddsmakers have this game as even, with each team getting odds of -105 to win. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 7.5 runs. The Mariners are 9-2 in Hernandez’ last 11 starts against the Angels and they have hit the under in 8 of Hernandez’ last 10 starts on Saturday.
