The featured games of the day has the New York Yankees (86-71) hosting the Boston Red Sox (77-80) at 7:05PM ET. The Yankees have Masahiro Tanaka (12-7, 3.38 ERA) on the mound to face Wade Miley (11-11, 4.39) of the Sox. According to oddsmakers at GTBets, the Sox are a -150 favorite on the road, while the Yankees are getting odds of +140 to win. The over/under total has yet to be set. The road team has won four straight in this series and they have hit the under in five of their last seven meetings.

The Texas Rangers (85-72) look to take a step toward the AL West title as they host the Detroit Tigers (73-84) at 8:05PM ET. The Rangers have Yovani Gallardo (12-11, 3.42) on the mound to face Matt Boyd (1-5, 6.91) of the Tigers. The oddsmakers have the Rangers as a -170 favorite at home, while the Tigers are getting a money line of +155 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 9 runs. Texas has a 2-game lead in the AL West with five games remaining. The Rangers are 24-8 in their last 32 home games while the Tigers have hit the over in 35 of their last 52 road games.

The Houston Astros (83-75) look to stay in the AL playoff race as well today when they are on the road to face the Seattle Mariners (75-83) at 10:10PM ET. The Astros have Scott Kazmir (7-11, 2.97) on the mound to face an undecided pitcher on Seattle. Due to the unknown status of the Seattle pitcher, odds have yet to be set for this contest. The Astros are 2.5 games out of first in the AL West and ½ a game behind the Angels for the second Wild Card spot. Houston is 15-40 in the last 55 road games while going 7-3-2 with the under in Kazmir’s last 12 games on grass.
