Sunday MLB Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Sunday will be the last time baseball fans will enjoy interleague play in 2011. Check out today’s opening MLB odds.
The Giants and Tigers will wrap up their three-game series at Comerica Park with a 1:05PM ET outing today. Detroit opened as –125 money line favorites over San Francisco, which is a +115 money line road dog according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog. It’ll be Ryan Vogelsong against Rick Porcello.
The Phillies and Blue Jays will also wrap up their series in Toronto. Philadelphia is a –175 money line road favorite with Cliff Lee on the hill, while the Jays are a +165 money line home dog. According to latest MLB trends, the Phillies are now 6-1 in their last seven games in Toronto.
The Yankees will look to sweep their in-state rivals the Mets at 1:10PM ET. The Bombers opened as –125 money line favorites, while the Mets are +165 at home. The Yankees have now won seven straight and are 5-1 in their last six games against the Mets.
The Yankees’ AL East rivals the Red Sox will also go for a sweep on Sunday when they take on the Astros again in Houston. Boston opened as –190 money line favorites over the Stros, who are +180 on the ML. The Red Sox are 5-2 in their last seven games against Houston.
One other series of note, the Cubs will host the White Sox again at 2:20PM ET. The Sox have won four straight and will look to sweep their cross-town rivals with a victory on Sunday. The under is 4-1 in the last five games between these two teams at Wrigley Field and 7-2 in the last nine meetings between these two teams.
