Tuesday MLB Free Pick
(The Spread) – National League Central rivals square off tonight when the Pittsburgh Pirates host the Milwaukee Brewers at 7:05PM ET.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the visiting Brewers –113 money line favorites over the Pirates, who are +106 on the ML. The over/under total for this game is currently 8 runs.
The Brewers enter tonight’s game seeking their first road victory. The Reds swept them on Opening Weekend, although Milwaukee has rallied to win five of its last six games. The Brew Crew beat the Cubs 6-0 on Saturday and 6-5 on Sunday to take the series after they dropped Game 1 7-6 on Friday.
The Pirates have been one of the many surprises this season, although they’re stumbling a bit since starting the year 4-2. They dropped three of four at home against the Rockies and have lost two straight since beating Colorado 4-3 last Friday.
MLB Free Pick: After a rocky spring, Kevin Correia has given the Pirates back-to-back strong outings this season. He moved to 2-0 by shutting out the Cardinals over seven innings last week. But he’s still Kevin Correia. He would be a fourth or fifth starter for most clubs (and not a bad one at that – I mean no disrespect), but he’s Pittsburgh’s ace. Eventually, the law of averages will eventually catch up and I think they’ll kick in tonight. The Brewers are starting to figure things out Shaun Marcum is coming off a nice outing against the Braves last week in which he went six innings and allowed just two runs on five hits. According to latest MLB trends, the Brewers and 40-13 in their last 53 games against the Pirates, and 5-1 in their lat six games overall. Take Milwaukee, which is currently being offered at a nice price at the moment.
TUESDAY MLB FREE PICK: MILWAUKEE BREWERS –113
