According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are -155 money line favorites versus the Diamondbacks, who have odds of +140 to pull off the upset in San Francisco tonight. With Zack Greinke set to oppose Johnny Cueto in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 6.5.

Bet Tonight’s Diamondbacks vs. Giants Game

ARIZONA: Greinke allowed four runs on six innings in his last start, a no-decision last Wednesday versus the Braves. He did pick up his 2,000th career strikeout in the process, but it was the seventh time he’s allowed four runs after doing so just twice in 2015. He’s now 11-4 on the year with a 4.29 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP in his first season with the Diamondbacks.

SAN FRANCISCO: Cueto was the hard-luck loser last Wednesday when the Dodgers beat the Giants, 1-0. Cueto pitched six innings, allowed one home run to Justin Turner and lost because of the solo blast. Cueto is now 1-3 since the All-Star Break after going 13-1 in the first half, but he still owns a 3.91 ERA and a 43-to-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio in his eight outings in the second half.

OUR PICK: The under is 12-3 in the last 15 meetings between these two teams in San Francisco and has cashed in 20 of the last 28 meetings overall. The under is also 9-2 in Cueto’s last 11 starts versus National League West opponents and is 4-1 in the Giants’ last five games overall. The Diamondbacks have been a great ‘over’ play this season but given the pitching matchup and the recent history of this matchup, the under should hit at the betting window tonight.
