Will Twins, Orioles struggle to score
The Baltimore Orioles and the Minnesota Twins close out a series today at 7:05PM ET. Will they manage to pile up some runs in the finale?
The Twins have Phil Hughes on the mound to face Ubaldo Jimenez of the Orioles. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Orioles are favored at home today, as Baltimore is getting odds of -135 to win, while the Twins are getting a money line of +125 to prevail. The over/under total for the game is listed at 8.5 runs.
After losing eight straight to Minnesota over the last two seasons, Baltimore has managed to take the first two games in this series. Baltimore won the opener on Monday, 3-2 and then came back yesterday to pick up a 4-2 win at home. These two have now hit the under in five straight meetings.
The Twins are clearly a lineup without a lot of pop in their order. Baltimore’s bats haven’t exactly been off to a hot start either, but the Orioles are doing enough to win. The Orioles are 4-1with the under in Jiminez’ last five starts while the Twins have hit the under in 6 of their last 8 road games. Look for another low-scoring contest tonight.
