From Rotoworld: Valdez surrendered seven runs — six earned — over two-plus innings Sunday in a no-decision versus the Angels. Toronto would rally for a whopping seven runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game, no thanks to Valdez. He walked one batter and gave up seven hits, including a two-run homer to Albert Pujols in the top of the first inning. The 32-year-old right-hander might not get another turn in the Blue Jays’ rotation.
Peacock will start Friday against the Blue Jays. Peacock moved to the bullpen over the weekend after a rain-shortened start last week, and he had appeared in danger of possibly losing his rotation spot with Dallas Keuchel and Collin McHugh back from the disabled list. However, with Lance McCullers (back) now back on the DL, he’ll slide back into the rotation.
