Marlins vs. Braves Prediction
Are the Braves undervalued today against the Marlins? The NL East rivals clash once more at 1:35PM ET in Atlanta.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Braves are -108 money line favorites to beat the Marlins, who aren’t exactly underdogs at -107. With Jose Urena set to face Mike Foltynewicz in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Urena pitched six innings of one-run ball to beat the A’s on Tuesday. Urena has a decent 4.19 ERA in eight starts since moving into the rotation, but it’s been against a rather weak schedule and he’s posted a subpar 29/19 K/BB ratio in 43 innings. Maybe he’ll remain serviceable, but there isn’t much fantasy potential here.
Foltynewicz was obliterated in a no-decision against to the Nationals on Monday, allowing eight runs on 11 hits in just 3 1/3 innings. The right-hander walked two and didn’t strike out a batter. Despite the Braves’ staking him to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, it was downhill from the start as Trea Turner smashed a leadoff home run. Bryce Harper and Brian Goodwin would also take him deep before he was mercifully removed in the fourth inning. He’ll look to regroup and improve upon his 4.37 ERA and 1.41 WHIP when he squares off against the Marlins on Sunday.
Bet Today’s Marlins vs. Braves Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Marlins are just 1-5 in Urena’s last six starts versus National League East opponents and are winless at 0-8 in his last eight outings following a quality start in his last appearance. I don’t necessarily trust Foltynewicz, but Urena doesn’t instill much confidence either. Thus, I’ll take the home team in a buy-low situation.
