From Rotoworld: Bergman was pounded for nine runs in 2 2/3 innings by the Twins on Tuesday. Bergman has been decent in five of his seven starts for the Mariners, but he’s given up 19 runs in the other two, leaving him with a 5.75 ERA. The sooner the Mariners can move on from him, the better for their postseason hopes.
Darvish allowed one run and one hit over seven innings in defeating the Astros on Monday. Jeremy Jeffress finished up the 6-1 victory. Darvish struck out just four in this one, but he didn’t need to get the swing-and-miss when everything the Astros were hitting was pounded into the ground. Darvish moved to 6-4 with a 3.03 ERA.
