From Rotoworld: Odorizzi left Wednesday’s game against the Red Sox after being hit in the right foot by a line drive. Odorizzi was hit by a liner in the fifth inning and went down in immediate pain. He was unable to put any weight on his right foot as he walked off the field. The Rays should provide an update as to the exact nature of the injury in short order. Odorizzi was just activated off the disabled list after missing several weeks with a lower back strain.
Tepesch was knocked around for five runs in 4 1/3 innings and was charged with a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday. He surrendered eight hits and three of them left the yard in a hurry. Gary Sanchez, Todd Frazier and Didi Gregorius all took him deep for solo taters. Frazier touched him up gain with a double that plated two runs in the fifth inning. Tepesch was acquired from the Twins for cash considerations just before the trade deadline. Today was his first start as a Blue Jay. He had a lowly 5.88 ERA in 49 minor league innings this year before his call-up.
