Colon was excellent over his six innings last Wednesday against the Mets, allowing just one run on two hits and walking one in a no-decision. He also struck out six in the game as he was effective versus his former team. Colon might not pick up as many wins in Atlanta as he did with New York, but the soon-to-be 44-year-old remains as effective as ever.
Straily (0-1) gave up five runs on six hits and walked two over just 3 1/3 innings of work in Wednesday’s 6-4 loss to the Nationals. He failed to strike out a single batter as the righty struggled to fool Washington’s hitters. The Marlins gave up a pair of prospects to land Straily this offseason and thus far, the veteran is off to a rough start.
