From Rotoworld: Moore yielded five runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings in Sunday’s loss to the Mets. Moore struck out five and walked three in the uninspiring performance. Three of the five runs on his line came home on a pair of home runs surrendered to relatively light-hitting backstop Rene Rivera. Up next on the docket, a home start against the Pirates. Moore will carry a bloated 6.04 ERA and 1.64 WHIP into that one.
Kuhl struggled in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits over his five-plus innings of work. The right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the night while walking one. He carried a 4-2 lead into the sixth inning where Randal Grichuk greeted him with a solo homer and Kuhl allowed a double to Yadier Molina before departing. He’ll carry an unimpressive 5.58 ERA and 1.57 WHIP into Saturday’s start against the Giants.
Bet Today’s Giants vs. Pirates Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Giants are in the midst of a horrible season but they’re also playing their best ball of the year. San Francisco is 4-0 in its last four games overall and 4-0 in its last four meetings with the Pirates in Pittsburgh. The Pirates, meanwhile, have lost five of Kuhl’s last six starts, are 1-4 in his last five home outings, and have dropped all four of his last four games after they allowed five runs or more in their previous contest.
