Latest on Koehler via Rotoworld: Marlins recalled Koehler from Triple-A New Orleans. He’ll return to the Marlins’ rotation on Saturday against the Brewers. The 31-year-old hurler registered a troublesome 7.04 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 31/19 K/BB ratio across 38 1/3 innings with the big league club earlier this season. He should be avoided for fantasy purposes, especially in this matchup and ballpark.
Davies spun seven shutout innings Sunday in the Brewers’ victory over Atlanta. Davies was pitching to contact—he didn’t strike anyone out—but he only gave up four hits and was extremely efficient over his 98-pitch outing. He got stronger as the game went on, allowing just two base runners after the second inning. Davies leads Milwaukee with eight victories this year despite a sluggish 4.96 ERA. He’ll look for win No. 9 Saturday against Miami.
