Will the Minnesota Twins be able to pick up a needed win at home over the Milwaukee Brewers when they meet tonight at 8:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Twins are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -125 to win, while the Brewers are listed with a money line of +105 to win. The over/under total for the game is listed at 9 runs. These two met four times last season, with each picking up a pair of wins.

The pitching matchup in this game has Brent Suter (2-2, 3.04 ERA) on the mound for the Brewers to face Ervin Santana (12-7, 3.28) of the Twins. Santana is coming off a complete game, where he allowed two runs to the Padres. He has been somewhat all-or-nothing this year and has given up at least 5 runs in four of his last 10 starts. He has 113 strikeouts and 48 walks on the season with a 1.11 WHIP. Suter had a string of good starts snapped in a 5-run, 5.1-inning effort against the Cardinals last week. He has 44 strikeouts on the year with 12 walks and a 1.21 WHIP.
The Brewers took a loss to the Rays on Sunday, but have still won three of their last four games. Milwaukee is now 59-54 overall and 28-27 on the road. The Brewers put up 4.65 runs per game while allowing 4.39 per contest. Travis Shaw is leading the team with 25 doubles, 24 home runs and 74 RBI. However, he has a neck injury that has him questionable for tonight’s game. Eric Thames has added 19 doubles, 25 home runs and 47 RBI.
Minnesota salvaged a four-game split with the Rangers at home this weekend, but the Twins are just 3-5 in their last eight games. Minnesota is now 53-56 on the season and 25-33 at home. The Twins are averaging 4.48 runs per game while allowing 5.17 per contest. Miguel Sano has led the team this year with 25 home runs and 71 RBI. He may not be available today after being hit by a pitch on the hand this weekend. Eddie Rosario is adding 21 doubles, 12 home runs and 37 RBI for Minnesota.
Santana has been an ace at times for the Twins, but has been a mess others. He hasn’t been great at following up a good start with another one lately, so I don’t feel good about him coming off a complete game. Suter is coming off a bad start, which has been uncommon for him. So, I expect him to bounce back in a positive way today against this Minnesota offense. Go with the Brewers to get the upset.
