Orioles vs. Nationals Pick
Can the Baltimore Orioles continue their winning ways over the Washington Nationals when the two move their series to D.C. tonight at 7:05PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Nationals are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -175 to win, while the Orioles are getting a money line of +160 to prevail. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 7.5 runs.

The Nationals have Stephen Strasburg (3-1, 2.66 ERA) on the mound to face Wade Miley (1-1, 2.27) of the Orioles. Strasburg has pitched 40.2 innings in six starts, allowing just 12 earned runs with 11 walks and 36 strikeouts. He has a WHIP of 1.08. Miley is coming off an outing where he was pulled in the first inning after being hit by a pair of line drives. Miles has allowed just 8 earned runs over 31.2 innings this season. He has 19 walks with 38 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.33.
Baltimore has managed to win the first two meetings with the Nats this week, both in Baltimore. The Orioles won 6-4 on Monday and then came back on Tuesday to win 5-4 in extra innings. The Orioles are now 22-10 overall and 9-7 on the road while the Nationals are 21-12 overall and 9-6 at home.
The Nationals wasted a gem from Max Scherzer on Tuesday night. Scherzer went 8 innings, allowing just four hits and two runs with 11 strikeouts. Enny Romero blew his second save of the season in the ninth and the Orioles ultimately got the win when on a Mark Trumbo RBI single in the 12th. Ubaldo Jimenez gave Baltimore a surprisingly good outing, lasting 7.2 innings with six strikeouts and four runs allowed. Logan Verrett got the win by going three scoreless innings.
Things have gone in favor of the Orioles on the first two games at home, but now they hit the road and I think things change. Washington’s bats should come alive once again, even with Miley on the mound. Strasburg should be able to match or improve on anything Miley does. The Nats are on their first three-game losing streak of the season and returning home should be what they need to snap out of it.
