White Sox vs. Orioles Pick
Can Baltimore Orioles close out a weekend series with the Chicago White Sox with a victory when the two meet up today at 1:35PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bodava.lv, the Orioles are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -125 to win. The White Sox are listed with a money line of +105 to prevail tonight, while the over/under total is set at 8.5 runs.

The White Sox have Jose Quintana (2-4, 4.10 ERA) on the mound to face Chris Tillman of the Orioles. Tillman is making his 2017 debut today. He was 16-6 last season with a 3.77 ERA and 1.28 WHIP for Baltimore. A shoulder injury kept him from pitching until today. Quintana is coming off an 8-inning scoreless effort against the Royals on Tuesday. He has 37 strikeouts in 37 innings of work and his WHIP is 1.31.
The Orioles took the series opener, 4-2, on Friday. That was followed up by a 6-5 win on Saturday. Baltimore is now 19-10 overall and 10-3 at home this season while the White Sox are 15-14 overall and 9-9 on the road.
Hits piled up quickly for both teams on Saturday, but the Orioles were able to jump out to a 3-0 lead and not look back. Dylan Covey could only go four innings for the White Sox, but the Chicago bullpen did pitch four scoreless innings to give them a chance to comeback. Manny Machado continued his recent hot streak, belting out his eighth home run of the season. Trey Mancini also had a home run, his sixth of the season, to go along with three RBI.
Quintana has been showing improved outings, but I don’t feel like that will continue today against this Baltimore lineup at home. The Orioles, especially Machado, have been hitting with a lot of power recently and they seem nearly unbeatable at home. While we don’t know exactly what Tillman will give them, he should be amped up for his season debut. I think he pitches well enough to get the win behind some solid run support.
