Royals vs. Angels Pick
Will the Los Angeles Angels have any trouble with the Kansas City Royals when the two meet up tonight at 10:07PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Angels are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -120 to win. The Royals are listed with a money line of +100 to prevail, while the over/under total for the game has been set at 8.5 runs.

The pitching matchup tonight has Ian Kennedy (0-6, 5.40 ERA) on the mound for Kansas City to face Jesse Chavez (5-6, 5.06) of the Angels. Kennedy has been struggling for weeks, allowing at least 4 runs in his last six starts. He has 28 walks and 49 strikeouts this season with a 1.29 WHIP. Chavez is coming off a really poor start, allowing six earned runs over 3.2 innings. He has 24 walks with 57 strikeouts and a 1.33 WHIP.
Kansas City picked up a 7-2 win on Thursday night to open the weekend series. The Royals have won all four meetings with the Angels this year. KC is now 31-34 overall and 14-18 on the road while Los Angeles is 35-35 overall and 20-14 at home.
The Royals hammered the Los Angeles pitching on Thursday, racking up 15 runs. Ricky Nolasco lasted six innings, but gave up five runs and 10 hits to take his eighth loss of the season. Matt Strahm pitched five innings and gave up just one run on three hits to get his second win of 2017. Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon both hit a home run for the Royals. Mike Moustakas drove in two runs as well.
The Royals have had the Angels’ number this year, but I think L.A. finally gets the win tonight. Kennedy has been consistently bad lately. The Angels should be able to get to him right away. While Chavez is coming off a poor outing, he has been able to compete in other recent starts. I think he can limit this Royals’ lineup that has struggled most of the season.
