Brewers vs. Cardinals Prediction
Will the Cardinals win the first game of their double-header against the Brewers today at 2:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cardinals are -150 money line favorites to beat the Brewers, who have odds of +120 to pull off the upset in St. Louis this afternoon. With Jimmy Nelson set to face Lance Lynn in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

Latest on Nelson via Rotoworld: Nelson allowed three runs over six innings Wednesday in a victory over the Giants. Nelson has had better outings versus superior lineups recently, but three runs in six innings was enough to get the job done tonight. He moved to 4-3 with a 3.45 ERA.
Lynn allowed one run on three hits over five innings but was denied a win when the bullpen blew the lead against the Reds on Wednesday. Through four innings Lynn had allowed only an infield single, a pair of walks and no runs. Scott Schebler led off the fifth frame with a solo homer for the only run Lynn would surrender. Lynn was lifted after five innings despite having thrown only 78 pitches. He lowered his ERA to 2.88 with 63 strikeouts in 68 2/3 innings spread over 12 starts.
Bet Today’s Brewers vs. Cardinals Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Brewers are just 3-7 in Nelson’s last 10 starts, are 1-4 in his last five outings versus the Cardinals, and are 17-37 in their last 54 games versus St. Louis overall. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are 4-1 in Lynn’s last five starts versus the Brewers and have won four of his last five outings when their opponent allowed five runs or more in its previous game. Milwaukee is banged up right now and St. Louis is coming off a sweep of Philadelphia at home. I’m taking the team with momentum.
