PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
The public is backing the Blue Jays today. Toronto is currently getting 57 percent of the wagers for this game as the favorite against the White Sox.
KEY INJURIES
The Jays continue to have Troy Tulowitzki on the injury report as he is out until late May due to bone spurs in his heels. Chicago has no new injuries to report.
BETTING STRATEGIES
The Blue Jays opened the series on Monday with a 4-2 victory. Chicago led most of the game, but Toronto scored three runs over their last two plate appearances to get the win. Russell Martin had a two-run home run in the seventh and then Aledmys Diaz had a solo homer for insurance in the eighth.
Jaime Garcia pitched six innings and allowed just one run for the Jays while Reynaldo Lopez did the same for Chicago. The White Sox bullpen gave up three runs over just two innings of work. Wellington Castillo had a pair of solo home runs to lead Chicago at the plate, while Jose Abreu added three hits of his own.
The Blue Jays may have won the opener, but Chicago had the game in its hands. The bullpen let them down on Monday. Toronto is the big favorite and too big of a favorite for me to bet on them for any value. However, I also don’t trust the Jays to win by multiple runs in this one. Chicago has bats that I like and I feel playing them as the underdog is the best choice. Their bullpen can’t let them down all the time and I think they can hit Happ and steal a win on the road.
