PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
The public is backing the Phillies today. Philadelphia is getting 69 percent of the wagers for this game as the home favorite against the Reds.
KEY INJURIES
Cincinnati has many players on the injury report right now. Eugenio Suarez is out with a thumb injury while Scott Schebler is out with an elbow injury. Philadelphia has nobody new listed on the injury report.
BETTING STRATEGIES
Philadelphia has won the first two games of the series, 6-5 and 6-1. Tuesday’s win saw the Phillies trail 1-0 midway through the game, but they scored their six runs over their final three at-bats. Scott Kingery had a grand slam in the eighth inning to break the game open for the Phillies. Odubel Herrera had a pair of doubles as well for Philadelphia in the win.
Aaron Nola pitched eight innings for the Phillies, allowing just one run and three hits with six strikeouts. Homer Bailey pitched six innings for the Reds, allowing just one run on two hits with seven strikeouts. The Reds bullpen gave up five runs in just two innings of work. Jesse Winker drove in the lone run for Cincinnati in the loss.
The Phillies have had a decent balance of offense and pitching in this series and I think it can continue tonight. Pivetta has looked respectable in his two starts and the Phillies have been able to hit the Cincinnati pitching, especially the bullpen. I think more of the same happens today.
