Nationals vs. Giants Prediction
Following yesterday’s brawl game, will the Giants rebound with a win over the Nationals tonight at 10:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are -120 money line favorites versus the Nationals, who have odds of +120 to pull off the upset tonight at AT&T Park. With Gio Gonzalez set to face Jeff Samardzija in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8 runs.

Gonzalez was charged with two runs in 5 1/3 innings and struck out eight Thursday in a no-decision against the Mariners. Gonzalez allowed just one hit over five innings before giving up singles to two of the first three batters he faced in the sixth. He was then replaced by Jacob Turner, who immediately gave up a three-run homer to Nelson Cruz. The pitching switch was probably the right idea, given that Gonzalez struggles deep into games and was at 96 pitches, but Dusty Baker probably should have had someone better than Turner ready to step in. Samardzija fell to 1-6 after giving up three runs in seven innings Thursday against the Cubs. All of the runs scored on solo homers. Samardzija struck out eight and walked one, but that’s par for the course for him this year; he has a 79/11 K/BB ratio in 69 innings. He just needs some help from his offense. His double today was one of only five Giants hits against Eddie Butler and Mike Montgomery in the loss.
