Lackey served up a solo homer to Bryce Harper in the top of the first but mostly settled in from there. He issued just one walk, struck out three, and scattered six hits over his five frames. The veteran right-hander is now 9-9 on the season with a 4.81 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 102/37 K/BB ratio in 119 2/3 innings. Up next for Lackey is a road start against the Diamondbacks.
Walker yielded three earned runs over six-plus innings Saturday in a no-decision versus the Giants. Walker was cruising until the bottom of the seventh inning, when he gave up back-to-back doubles and a Hunter Pence two-run homer. San Francisco would go on to win the game 5-4 in extras. Walker allowed just six hits in all while striking out six batters and issuing zero walks. The young right-hander owns a 3.60 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 98/36 K/BB ratio in 105 innings this year.
