From Rotoworld: Perdomo earned a win by allowing two runs in six-plus innings against the Reds on Tuesday. He struck out seven hitters, walked four and scattered seven base hits in the quality start. The young right-hander made it through six innings without allowing a run. Sent back out for the seventh frame, he surrendered a hit and a walk before being relieved with no outs, then both of those runners scored when Tucker Barnhart hit a three-run jack off reliever Jose Torres. Perdomo improves to 6-6 with a 4.81 ERA in 20 starts.
Maeda allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk with six strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision in Arizona on Tuesday. Maeda has posted a 10-4 record with a 3.69 ERA, and he has lowered that ERA in each of his past five outings. However, he doesn’t generally go very deep into games, sticking around just long enough to qualify for the win. The bullpen subverted his potential fifth consecutive victory in this one.
