According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Angels are -140 money line favorites to beat the Rangers, who have odds of +125 to pull off the upset. With Martin Perez set to face Troy Scribner in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Perez surrendered six runs on seven hits over six innings in Saturday’s win over the White Sox. Perez surrendered five runs in the first inning, but the Rangers offense would back him up with a bevy of runs in the middle innings in what ended as a 17-7 win for the boys from Arlington. Up next on the docket for Perez as he tries for slightly smoother results, a road start against the Angels. He will carry a 5.26 ERA and 1.57 WHIP into that affair.
Scribner’s last start came on August 9 against the Orioles at home. In that outing, he allowed a single run over five innings and surrendered just two hits. He also struck out four and didn’t walk a batter. The Angels won that game 5-1 and are now 2-0 when Scribner pitches.
Bet Tonight’s Rangers vs. Angels Game
OUR PREDICTION: The under is 8-1 in Perez’s last nine starts versus the Angels and is 13-6-3 in Los Angeles’ last 22 home games. The under is also 8-3-2 in the Rangers’ last 13 games versus American League West opponents and has cashed in seven of their last eight games when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game.
