From Rotoworld: Lynn scattered eight hits over 6 1/3 scoreless innings in the Cardinals’ 4-0 shutout of the Pirates on Saturday. Lynn wasn’t flawless, but he made pitches when he needed to, and the Pirates weren’t able to come up with a big hit in certain spots. The right-hander also made use of three strikeouts without walking a batter. He’s now rattled off two straight scoreless starts to improve his record to 8-6 with a 3.40 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 19 starts overall. The 30-year-old will next take on the Mets on Thursday.
Lugo allowed three earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out five batters over 6 2/3 innings in a win against the Rockies on Saturday. Lugo homered to help his own cause, too. The Mets are now an impressive 11-2 over the past 13 outings by Lugo, and they have won five of his past six home starts. Saturday’s outing was just his second of the season in front of the home fans, and his first victory. Both outings at Citi Field in 2017 have resulted in quality starts. Ironically, he has allowed seven hits, three earned runs and two walks with five strikeouts while throwing 6 2/3 innings in each of the home assignments.
