Braves vs. Dodgers Prediction
Is the under a safe bet to cash this afternoon when the Dodgers host the Braves at 4:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dodgers are -400 money line favorites versus the Braves, who have odds of +300 to pull off the massive upset in L.A. With Sean Newcomb set to face Clayton Kershaw in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 7.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Newcomb was bounced for five earned runs, eight hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 5 1/3 innings in a loss against the Cubs on Tuesday. Newcomb started out well, going 1-2 with a 1.48 ERA over his first four outings, each quality starts. However, since flipping the calendar to July he has been atrocious, going 0-3 with an 11.37 ERA, nine walks and three homers allowed over just 12 2/3 innings. It was fun while it lasted, but he is no longer a viable fantasy option in most formats.
Kershaw blanked the White Sox for seven innings and struck out seven in a 1-0 win Tuesday. The Dodgers will eventually lose again, but maybe not ever with Kershaw on the mound. They’ve won each of his last 14 starts dating back to May 6. Kershaw is now 15-2 with a 2.07 ERA, and the Dodgers are 18-2 in his 20 starts this season.
Bet Today’s Braves vs. Dodgers Game
OUR PREDICTION: The under is 4-1 in Kershaw’s last five starts overall, is 4-1 in his last five home outings, and is 5-1 when he starts coming off four days of rest. On the other side, the under has cashed in five of Newcomb’s last seven starts and is 5-1 in the Braves’ last six games played on Sunday.
