From Rotoworld: Garza was hit hard in Monday’s loss to the Pirates, allowing four runs on six hits across 5 1/3 innings. The veteran right-hander walked two and struck out three on the night. The Pirates scratched out a pair of runs in the third inning, then broke the game open with a two-run blast by Andrew McCutchen in the sixth. Now 3-3 on the season, he’ll carry a 4.42 ERA and 1.29 WHIP into Saturday’s start against the Braves in Atlanta.
Dickey was dominant in Monday’s victory over the Giants, allowing just three hits over seven shutout innings. Dickey had his knuckleball dancing all night, racking up six strikeouts while walking only one. The 42-year-old hurler entered play on Monday with a 5.35 ERA and 1.51 WHIP across his first 13 starts, so naturally he turned in one of the most dominant pitching performances of the night. He’ll replicate this fine effort when he takes on the Brewers on Saturday.
