PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
The public is backing the Angels today. Los Angeles is getting 76 percent of the wagers for this game on the road against the Rangers.
KEY INJURIES
The Angels still have Ian Kinsler on the injury report for today’s game. He is coming off the 10-day DL due to a groin injury but is questionable to return tonight. Texas second baseman Rougned Odor has been placed on the 10-day DL with a strained left hamstring.
BETTING STRATEGIES
The Angels have won the first two games in this series, 8-3 and 11-1. Tuesday’s win for the Angels moved them to 9-3 on the season while the Rangers fell to 4-9. Los Angeles racked up the runs quickly on Martin Perez, as he allowed eight runs over three innings to take a loss. Tyler Skaggs pitched five innings and allowed just one run on five hits for the Angels to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Mike Trout hit his fourth home run of the season in the win. He finished with a pair of hits as well. Jefry Marte and Martin Maldonado each had three hits to lead the Angels at the plate and both drove in two runs. Drew Robinson drove in the lone run for the Rangers in the loss.
Texas just doesn’t look to be a team to count on this season. I know Barria is making his MLB debut, which is a concern. However, Moore has been awful and likely can’t be much better than Barria. Los Angeles has the hitting to count on that Texas doesn’t seem to have. I will take the Angels to keep rolling along.
