According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dodgers are -125 money line favorites versus the Nationals, who have odds of +115 to pull off the upset in Los Angeles. With Gio Gonzalez set to face Hyun-Jin Ryu in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8 runs.

Gonzalez allowed three earned runs, eight hits and three walks with six strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a win Tuesday in San Francisco. Gonzalez threw 62 of his 108 pitches for strikes to pick up his first victory in six starts dating back to April 27. The southpaw’s inability to pick up wins has been due to his high walk rate, as he has issued 33 free passes over his past 55 1/3 innings with 47 strikeouts. The good news is he has not allowed a homer in back-to-back starts for the first time this season. (Rotoworld)
Ryu held the Cardinals to one run over six innings Wednesday in a no-decision. Ryu’s start tonight was his first since May 18. He did well, but it’s unclear whether he’ll get another turn before Alex Wood comes off the disabled list. He might be in and out of the rotation the rest of the year.
Bet Tonight’s Nationals vs. Dodgers Game
OUR PREDICTION: The under has cashed in five of the last seven meetings between these two teams when the game is played in Los Angeles. The under is also 8-2 in Ryu’s last 10 starts overall, is 6-2-1 in his last nine home outings versus a team with a winning record, and is 13-3-1 in his last 17 starts after scoring two runs or less in their previous game. Given the issues that these two teams have against left-handed pitching, the under should be a great play tonight in L.A.
