From Rotoworld: Perdomo surrendered five runs on four hits over six innings in Sunday’s loss to the Dodgers. Perdomo put up zeros over the first three innings before the Dodgers did as they do and pumped in a five-run fourth inning. All five of those runs scored via the long ball, with Justin Turner burning Perdomo for a three-run shot and Yasmani Grandal following a short while later with a two-run bomb. The 24-year-old right-hander will carry an unwieldy 4.95 ERA and 1.52 WHIP into a home start against the Nationals next time he toes the rubber.
Martinez yielded three runs in seven innings to earn a win against the Pirates on Friday. He wasn’t on top of his game but got the job done in the quality start. He was taken deep by Josh Harrison and David Freese but both were solo shots that didn’t sink his battleship. Martinez struck out four batters and walked one while surrendering six base hits. His record improves to 10-9 with a desirable 3.57 ERA and 1.19 WHIP after 25 starts. He’s notched 169 strikeouts in 161 1/3 innings.
