Will the A’s hand the struggling Royals another loss tonight when the teams open a new series at 10:05PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the A’s are -110 money line favorites to beat the Royals, who have odds of +100 to pull off the upset in Oakland. With Jake Junis set to face Jharel Cotton in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9 runs.

From Rotoworld: Royals manager Ned Yost confirmed that Junis will start Monday in Oakland. Junis was terrific in a spot start last Sunday against the Mariners, allowing just one run on four hits over eight innings pitched. The 24-year-old right-hander should be allowed to stick around for a while with Trevor Cahill recently landing on the disabled list because of a right shoulder impingement. There is some streaming appeal here.
Cotton was knocked about for six runs on eight hits over six innings in Wednesday’s loss to the Mariners. Cotton had major issues keeping the ball in the park in this one, as he coughed up three home runs. The first of those came courtesy of Kyle Seager, who rapped a three-run shot in the first inning. Nelson Cruz had the other two, crushing a two-run homer in the third inning and a solo dinger in the fifth. With this disappointing outing under his belt, Cotton will carry an unsightly 5.72 ERA and 1.48 WHIP into a home start against the Royals next time out as he tries to find some silver lining to cling to in what has been a trying season to date.
