According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Angels are -150 money line favorites to beat the Phillies, who have odds of +130 to pull off the upset. With Jerad Eickhoff set to face Parker Bridwell in the pitching matchup, the over/under sits at 8.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Eickhoff allowed three runs — one earned — in five innings and did not get a decision in Saturday’s extra-inning win over the Braves. He notched three strikeouts while issuing three walks (two intentional) and surrendering five base hits. He let in two runs in the first inning but they were unearned thanks to an error by second baseman Cesar Hernandez. Eickhoff has held his own this year but hasn’t been able to repeat the success of his first two seasons. He owns a 2-7 record with a 4.56 ERA in 18 starts.

Bridwell delivered another dominant outing in Friday’s victory over the Blue Jays, allowing just one run on three hits over 7 1/3 innings. Bridwell struck out four and walked one in the contest. The only blemish on his night came on an RBI double off the bat of Jose Bautista in the eighth inning. Bridwell now sports an impressive 2.83 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 34/13 K/BB ratio in 54 innings. He’ll look to continue his impressive run when he takes on the Phillies at home on Thursday.
