Angels vs. Mariners Prediction

Will the Angels and Mariners go over the betting total today when the two teams wrap up their series at 4:10PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Mariners are -130 money line favorites versus the Angels, who have odds of +120 to pull off the upset. With Parker Bridwell set to face Ariel Miranda in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Bridwell allowed an earned run, six hits and no walks with four strikeouts over seven innings in a victory Tuesday against Baltimore. Bridwell has burst onto the scene, posting a 6-1 record and 3.00 ERA across 11 outings since being summoned from the minors. He has won each of his past four decisions while posting five quality starts across his past six outings. He’ll look to stay hot Sunday in Seattle opposite left-hander Ariel Miranda.

Miranda allowed six earned runs, five hits and two walks with six strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision on Tuesday in Oakland. Miranda threw just 53 of his 86 pitches for strikes and he also hit a batter. The Cuban southpaw is without a win over his past six outings, last winning June 30 on the road against the Angels. He hasn’t won at home since June 4. Home is where he’ll be for his next start on Sunday against the Angels.

Bet Today’s Angels vs. Mariners Game

OUR PREDICTION: The over is 4-0-1 in Miranda’s last five starts versus the Angels, is 8-2-1 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams, and is 16-5-2 in the last 23 meetings in Seattle. The over is also 4-0-1 in the Angels’ last five road games, is 5-1-1 in the Mariners’ last seven games overall, and is 6-1 in Miranda’s last seven starts overall.

SUNDAY MLB PREDICTION: ANGELS/MARINERS OVER 9.5
