From Rotoworld: Estrada allowed just one run over seven innings Monday in a no-decision versus the White Sox. Estrada left with a five-run lead, only to see the pen give it up. It was still a second straight encouraging outing for him after a very rough spell. He’ll be an August trade candidate if contenders think he could help at the back of a rotation.
Morton pitched six innings of two-run ball in a win over the Rays on Monday. Corey Dickerson’s two-run homer in the third did the damage, though Morton had a lot more margin for error on a night in which the Astros ended up scoring 14 runs. In all, they’ve reached double figures in five of his 14 starts. No wonder he has a 9-4 record to go along with his 3.77 ERA.
