From Rotoworld: Petit is scheduled to make a spot start for the Angels on Saturday in Toronto. It will essentially be a bullpen game, with Petit expected to cover the first three or four innings. The 32-year-old right-hander holds a strong 2.70 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 59/17 K/BB ratio in 36 relief appearances this season, but he’s not stretched out enough to make for an attractive fantasy streaming option.
Liriano held the A’s to two runs over five innings Monday for his sixth win of the season. Liriano yielded just two hits, though one was a solo homer by Oakland third baseman Matt Chapman in the top of the fifth inning. The left-hander walked two and struck out five. He’s now 6-5 on the year with a 5.99 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, and 70/42 K/BB ratio in 76 2/3 innings.
