Braves vs. Nationals Prediction
Will the Braves and Nationals play over the betting total when the two teams meet at 1:35PM ET in D.C.?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Nationals are -175 money line favorites to beat the Braves, who have odds of +165 to pull off the upset again in Washington. With Sean Newcomb set to face Joe Ross in the pitching matchup, the over/under sits at 10 runs.

Latest on Newcomb from Rotoworld: Newcomb was lit up for seven runs and 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings by the Astros on Tuesday. The Astros are hitting everything, so it wasn’t much of a surprise that Newcomb had his first rough outing as a major leaguer. He had turned in four straight quality starts since joining the Braves.
Ross yielded two runs over seven innings in an 11-4 victory over the Mets on Tuesday. He gave up eight hits and walked three, so the Mets had plenty of chances in this one, but they couldn’t get anything on the board beyond solo homers from Jose Reyes and Rene Rivera. Ross struck out six in the win and has a 2.36 ERA over his last four starts.
Bet Today’s Braves vs. Nationals Game
OUR PREDICTION: The total has gone over in 12 of Atlanta’s last 13 games when playing on the road against Washington. It is also 5-1 in Washington’s last six games when playing Atlanta. With the way the Braves are swinging the bats right now, coupled with an always dangerous Nationals lineup, the over is a good bet despite the high total. Hopefully the game is tied at 5-5 at some point, guarantying an over victory.
