The Milwaukee Brewers were shutout by the Chicago Cubs on Thursday night without injured star Christian Yelich in their lineup. Will Friday night’s game be low-scoring too?

CURRENT ODDS
According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Cubs are -138 money line favorites to beat the Brewers, who have odds of +128 to pull off the upset at home. As for the total, the number sits at 8.5 runs, with the over carrying odds of -120 and the under listed at +100.
LINE MOVEMENT
The Cubs opened as -150 money line favorites but their odds dropped to -138 at the majority of online sportsbooks while the Brewers’ line has shifted from +130 down to +128. As for the total, it hit the board at 9 but was bet down to 8.5.
PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
As of this writing, 73% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Cubs to beat the Brewers on the moneyline. Meanwhile, 51% of the betting tickets are on the under.
OUR PREDICTION:
Yelich is officially day-to-day with an oblique injury but I doubt we see him in Milwaukee’s lineup tonight. The Brewers didn’t have him last night and they were shutout by Jon Lester, who couldn’t contain the Marlins’ punchless lineup on the road a week ago. While I see some value in taking the home underdog, the better bet in my eyes is the under. In the last 11 meetings between these two teams, the under is 10-1. In the last 51 meetings in Milwaukee, the under is 33-16-2. The under is also 12-3 in Hendricks’ last 15 starts against the Brewers and is 6-2 in his last eight road outings versus Milwaukee.
FRIDAY MLB PREDICTION: CUBS/BREWERS UNDER 8.5
