From Rotoworld: Lynn surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings in Sunday’s win over the Diamondbacks. Lynn managed to hold the D-Backs to just two runs, but this was not a particularly efficient start in terms of his control. He walked five on the afternoon while managing to throw just 59 of 107 pitches for strikes. So long as he is not traded in the next day-plus, Lynn will carry a 3.20 ERA and 1.12 WHIP into a home date with the Reds next time he takes to the mound.
Castillo dominated the Marlins on Sunday, allowing just one run on three hits over eight innings in the Reds’ 6-4 win. That one run came on an RBI double by A.J. Ellis in the bottom of the sixth inning. The other two hits Castillo allowed were singles, and he also issued just one walk throughout the excellent eight-inning effort while striking out six. Castillo has been a breath of fresh air for the Reds since his promotion to the major league level in June. He’ll carry a 3.56 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 51/18 K/BB ratio (over 48 innings) into his next start at home versus the Cardinals.
