From Rotoworld: Lynn gave up seven runs over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Pirates on Saturday. Lynn gave up a run in the first inning but seemed to settle down, putting up zeroes in the second and third before things took a turn for the worst. Jordy Mercer lined a two-run homer to left in the fourth, and Josh Harrison pulled a Lynn offering just over the wall an inning later for a solo shot. Three more runs in the sixth were enough to end Lynn’s night. The start was the second in a row in which the 30-year-old allowed seven runs, ballooning his ERA to 3.86. Lynn will try to stop the bleeding Thursday against a good Diamondbacks offense.
Corbin took a tough loss after allowing just one run in 6 2/3 innings Friday against the Phillies. Corbin can’t really complain about being 6-7, considering that his ERA stands at 4.89. Still, he’s been better of late. After giving up 11 homers in a six-start span, Corbin has allowed only one in his last three starts (the previous two of which were wins).
