Rockies vs. Cubs Prediction
Will the Cubs avoid being swept by the red-hot Rockies when the teams clash today at 2:20PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cubs are -180 money line favorites versus the Rockies, who have odds of +160 to pull off the upset at Wrigley. With Antonio Senzatela set to face Jake Arrieta in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 11 runs.

Senzatela allowed three earned runs, six hits and a walk with four strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a win Tuesday against the Indians. Senzatela threw 68 of his 98 pitches for strikes, running his record to 8-2. He improved to 6-1 with a 3.18 ERA across 45 1/3 innings over seven home starts, as the youngster continues to pitch well at Coors Field. In fact, he has been much better at home in the rarefied air than he has been on the road where he has a 4.18 ERA over five starts. (Rotoworld)
Arrieta gave up two runs in six-plus innings Tuesday in a win over the Marlins. It would have been one run in six innings, but Joe Maddon sent him back out to give up a triple to start the seventh and then immediately pulled him. That batter was the first Arrieta had faced in the seventh since his second start on April 9. Arrieta improved to 6-4 with a 4.46 ERA.
Bet Today’s Rockies vs. Cubs Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Cubs are due. They’ve had a rough series but they’ve often backed Arrieta, especially at home. They’re 4-1 in Arrieta’s last five home starts, are 47-21 in his last 68 outings overall, and are 4-0 in his last four starts when he pitches in the fourth game of a series. Senzatela is been excellent at Coors Field this season but owns a 4.18 ERA on the road. Even though Colorado is hot, I’m playing the due theory with Chicago, especially at home.
SUNDAY MLB PREDICTION: CHICAGO CUBS -1.5 (+105)
