Cubs vs. Brewers Prediction
Will the Cubs and Brewers finally break out the bats on Sunday when they wrap up their series at 2:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cubs are -134 money line favorites to beat the Brewers, who have odds of +110 to pull off the upset at home. With John Lackey set to face Zach Davies in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Lackey held the White Sox to two runs over five innings Tuesday for his seventh win of the season. Lackey walked two batters and plunked four, but he operated well in situations that required damage control, inducing eight groundouts. The veteran right-hander is 7-9 on the season with a 4.97 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 92/34 K/BB ratio in 108 2/3 innings. Up next is a road start against the Brewers.
Davies held the Nationals off the scoreboard for 7 2/3 innings in Tuesday’s 8-0 victory. Davies was marvelous against a tough lineup (albeit one that’s not at full strength), holding the Nats to just three hits and three walks while recording seven strikeouts. The 7 2/3 frames and 114 pitches were a season high for Davies, and the seven punchouts tied his career high. He’s put together back-to-back excellent outings and will try to keep it going on Sunday versus the Cubs.
Bet Today’s Cubs vs. Brewers Game
OUR PREDICTION: After the first two games of this series were both pitcher’s duels, I like the bats to finally come alive today. The over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams and is 5-0 in Davies’ last five starts against the Cubs. The over is also 7-2-1 in Lackey’s last 10 starts against the rest of the division and is 15-6-2 in Davies’ last 23 starts overall.
