From Rotoworld: Chatwood held the Padres to one run over eight innings in a win Saturday.Chatwood gave up a solo homer to Austin Hedges but nothing more, limiting the Friars to just four hits and a walk. The right-hander struck out eight in the win. There hasn’t been much room for gray area in Chatwood’s 12 starts, winning five and losing seven. It all adds up to a 4.60 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.
Lester allowed three earned runs over six innings Saturday in a no-decision against the Cardinals. Lester exited the game with the Cubs trailing 3-1, but Kyle Schwarber slugged a go-ahead grand slam in the bottom of the seventh and Chicago went on to win the game 5-3. Lester walked three and surrendered six hits, including a solo homer to Yadier Molina in the top of the sixth. Notably, the yips-plagued lefty picked off Tommy Pham at first base in the top of the fifth. It was Lester’s first pickoff since 2015. He will carry a 3.91 ERA into his next start at home against the Rockies.
