From Rotoworld: Making his first start in the majors since early June, Hendricks allowed just one run but lasted only 4 1/3 innings in Monday’s no-decision versus the White Sox. The good news is that he gave up just the one run and struck out five without walking anyone. The bad news is he surrendered eight hits and needed 92 pitches to cover his 4 1/3 frames. Hendricks pitched well on his rehab assignment and insisted that he was feeling like he did last season, but the results in his first outing back were mixed. He’ll try for a better line this weekend in Milwaukee.
Guerra yielded five earned runs over four innings Sunday in a loss to the Phillies. Guerra walked three batters and gave up five hits, including a two-run homer to Nick Williams in the bottom of the fourth inning. The 32-year-old right-hander is 1-4 on the year with an ugly 5.22 ERA and 1.53 WHIP. He had a 2.81 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 2016.
